I just finished reading an
article about this group of women and man, do they put me to shame. The next time my husband raises an eyebrow at the number of bags I bring into the house, I will show the article which I just might print out and save.
To be quite honest, I do love to shop, but on a much smaller scale than these woman obviously. Its like a little reward for working hard all week. Something wrong with that?? Now I am even happier if I can find something at an incredible price that just makes the day that much more fun.
According to the article, it seems that shopping practices have changed over the last few years. We are pampering ourselves more than any other generation. We arent buying for our families, we are buying for ourselves and if that means two or three pairs of shoes, one more handbag or yet another tube of lipstick it seems to be perfectly okay. But spending ten thousand a month on these goodies what does that say about the modern woman?? Is something missing from her life if it takes a shopping trip to make her happy?? Or does she deserve to treat herself??
I would be very interested to see what you have to say on the topic. Do you love shopping, do you go only when necessary or do you push it off and someone else if you can get away with it?? And yes, I know women who fall into all three of those categories!!
