Happy Monday! Here are my finds for the week: SEE: "Fool's Gold: starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson This movie was a light comedy with a splash of sexiness--I'm not even referring to Kate Hudson---I am referring to the hunk of manliness God has given us known as Matthew McConaughey. He has all the things I love in a man: a great body, a Southern accent, a rugged handsomeness, a great body, a playful nature, and a great body....If you didn't get my point, here it is: Oh, the movie was good too....LOL! It took some time to get to the actual plot, but when it did, it was a riot. I saw some comedians who I hadn't seen in a while (Kevin Hart, Brian Hooks) and a Cosby kid (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) as villains...and that made the movie more interesting. Overall, it was a light-hearted comedy that will tickle your fancy, but not a gut-busting laugh riot. If you haven't seen it, unfortunately, you have to wait for the June DVD release. It ill be worth it...ladies, remember, great body...WATCH: Dexter, 10 pm Sundays, CBS or (for newer episodes) Showtime on Demand
Now this is a weird show...and me likey likey! The storyline is centered around a Miami Metro PD blood pattern analyst (who knew that was a job?) who is an undercover serial killer with a dark past and even darker present. The trick is, he only kills those who deserve it, i.e. other serial murderers. Strange, isn't it? Albeit strange, it is intriguing and highly interesting to follow Dexter and his journeys to rid the world of horrific murderers while eluding his own police department while concealing his crimes. Add a baby sis who works as a detective on the same force who is constantly battling for the spotlight, an undersexed supervisor who wants the Dex, and a suspicious co-worker who just has a feeling that something isn't right with Dexter...plus all of the crazy killers...and you have some stories to shake your head at... READ: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill Okay, I really don't have a full review because I just starting reading this, but so far it has piqued my interest enough to recommend it. It doesn't hurt to learn a little bit more about developing a wealthy mindset (not just a rich mindset), so crack it open and let me know if it changes your life....LISTEN: Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" Before you say anything, I already know that this is nowhere near new...I downloaded it from iTunes the day it was released myself....but I have been seriously feeling this album lately. I don't know if its the emotional pregnancy hormones, the changing of the season, or if I just want to hear some good music....anyways...if you haven't heard this album, listen to it NOW....the songs are a mix of retro-funk, pop, soul, and R&B. Combined with Ms. Winehouse's, incredible vocals, every song is a bona fide hit. I won't even mention anything about the problematic personal life of the songstress herself....that's between her and the Lord....Have a strictly stylish day!
