More than 9.1 million viewers tuned in for the premiere and repeat telecasts of this week's Country Music Television awards.

The show hosted by "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus scored a 1.27 rating among viewers 18-to-49 for the live broadcast. That's up 35 per cent from last year, according to Nielsen Media Research figures provided by the network.

The fan-voted awards show premiered live Monday on CMT. Fans cast a record five million votes at CMT.com to determine the winners.

Performers included Carrie Underwood, Sugarland with Little Big Town and Jake Owen, Brad Paisley with special guest Hank Williams Jr., Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban and Brooks & Dunn.

There's was this scene from Sandra Bullocks movie where in they were doing the talent portion of the pageant. And what do you know Miley's outfit reminds me of that. That was hilarious and so are the boots sweetheart.
