Summer is almost upon us and I've already begun my vacation planning. However I, like most people, am disastrous when it comes to packing a suitcase. I sometimes take an extra blow dryer, in case my favorite one breaks - because they don't sell blow dryers. Anywhere. I often pack three pairs of almost indistinguishable shoes - because the shoes I will inevitably buy on the trip clearly don't count.Whether or not we do it, we all know packing light is indispensable. For your current or future planning, here are my three current favorite resources:
Trinny & Susannah's What You Wear Can Change Your Life is perhaps the most enjoyable. Their tips on color combination are priceless, and their packing tips aren't too far behind. New York Mag's Everything Guide has 8 simple tips, and while I don't agree with #3 (why do you need workout sneakers on vacation?), everything else is solid.Telegraph's capsule wardrobe is best, with specifics from a bevy of fashionable travelers. As much as I love fashion, I would never be the person who turns up with four cases
