It's like gentrification, but with Norms. That is, "normal people" or "people who aren't very hip". Please realize I say this with full knowledge of how pretentious I sound. I wore this to go dancing last night, at yet another formerly great dance night now overrun with chest-hair-bearing jocks and women with nipples and glitter bikinis hanging out of their poly-blend shirts. I wanted something completely no-nonense and just a little bit tough. The jeans are, no surprise, Tom straight legs from James Cured. The vest and shirt are from discount stores, the bag and belt from thrift stores, and the shoes from eBay. Went to an amazing city-wide clothing swap today, and will post a full report sometime tomorrow!
