Good god its so hard to get back into the swing of things after vacation. Rick (who is still off) has taken Truman to the pool so I can meet some deadlines Ive effectively ignored while at the beach.Im looking to get back into the groove quickly so I can join the boys at the pool. Seems to me this little angel could help light a fire under this old girl. What do you think?

Getting Motivation from the Dancing Baby

If you are familiar with the movie The Truman Show, and know enough about my family to know that our favorite beach spot is along Highway 30-A in Florida where Seaside, the charming beach town where the movie was filmed, sits squarely upon, then you, like the shop owners in that town who take a second glance when we call our son by name, may think we named our son after the main character in the movie. We did not.

But this place is as much a part of us as the air we breathe. This is our heaven on earth. And just like the false Utopia that was portrayed in The Truman Show, even vacations have to end. So as we drive away, Ive just one thing left to say to our quaint home away from home Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

The Truman Show Heads Back to Reality

I think this is life imitating art. Do you remember that episode from Grey’s Anatomy from last season where the woman has twins fathered by 2 different men? Was it Grey’s Anatomy. This news is pretty surreal and I feel sorry for the man who should have been celebrating his partner’s pregnancy only to find out that she had an affair!

How do you resolve this though if you are the Husband? Would you give the other twin (the one fathered by your partner’s lover) to his biological father? Do you keep the baby? It’s such a moral dilemma that I don’t have an answer to. I mean, it’s great that James has forgiven Mia but imagine raising a child who would remind you of your partner’s infidelity for the rest of your life?

An American woman has astonished medical experts by giving birth to twin boys - with different fathers.

In a case known as heteropaternal superfecundation, 11-month old Dallas-born twins Justin and Jordan have different dads, a phenomenon so rare there are only a handful of documented cases in the world.

Mia Washington, who has admitted having an affair with another man at the time the twins were conceived, first decided on a paternity test after noticing the boys had different facial features.

Her fiancee James Harrison is the biological father of Jordan, but Justin’s biological father is the man Washington had an affair with.

Harrison said he will bring up the two boys as his own; he said he has forgiven his fiancee and promised to stay with her, according to online reports.

Giving Birth to Twins by Different Fathers!

I discovered that my grandchildren had no prejudicewhen it came tothe elderly with Alzheimer’s. They accepted my motheras she was.

The fact that she might not know them seemed to have no bearing upon the youngsters, who began visiting her at the nursing home when they were 2- and 6-years old. They were 8 and 12 when she passed away.

To the younger child, Mother’s ramblings were a language he said only he understood. “Grandma talk to me,” he said, when I wondered what she was saying.

When asked why she visited a great grandmother who didn’t know her, my granddaughter once replied, “Because it makes Grandma happy.”

Often we think we must shelter the young from illnesses like Alzheimer’s and other conditions of the elderly. However, these are a fact of life and often seem easier for youngsters to accept than adults.

My mother has been gone for a number of years, yet her great grandchildren remember her with fondness and talk of our visits to the nursing home, highlighted by tea parties.
