Not often is there a gaming company that focuses creating adventure games that are based out of a particular time period, but I have found one. The name of this company is called Frogwares Game Development Studio and the focus of their games is to take us, the gamers, back into the 1800s to experience the glory of books from Sherlock Holmes, Dracula and several different adventures created by Jules Vernes. Herea??s a small snippet of what Frogware does: Created in 2000, Frogwares is an independent development studio specialized in adventure video games. Thanks to a talented team of 45 artistes and programmers, we realize quality games to please adventure fans. g_2.jpg Currently, Frogwares has quite the impressive game collection that they have been working on since 2000. Currently there are several different games that Frogwares has put outa?| here leta??s list them:
  • Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2006)
  • Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earring (2004)
  • Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Mummy (2002)
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth (2003)
  • 80 Days (2005)
g_6.jpg Click on this link to look for a description of all these games. Currently, Frogwares is working on three new titles, which includes one for the Nintendo DS: Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Sherlock Holmes Against the King of Thieves (2007), Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Mummy (2007 for the DS)and Dracula: Origin(2008). I havena??t ever told you guys this, but I like vampires. I mean, just look at a piece of the description of Dracula: Origin: How did Dracula become a vampire? He was a passionate, deeply religious man, but was broken by his wifea??s suicide; the soul of the woman he worshipped was damned! Crazy with grief and rage, he damned himself by choosing the Devil. g_7.jpg Now that is a man filled with passion. OH YES. Whata??s even better about this company is that theya??ve hooked up with Focus Home Interactive, so that their games may now be bought and downloaded online. Sweet.
