The sporty black and white look is back this season, and while it's not a big trend ASOS have a few black and white dresses to suit almost everyone's style.

1. Colour Block Mini Dress, 25
We've all read the mags that say mini dresses are hot this summer, so this is just perfect. This sleeveless practically reminds me of a more fashionable late 1980s piece. The white trim around the neckline and hemline throw in a mod feel to the dress.
2. Satin Applique Dress, 35
This satin dress was inspired by Paris Hilton, hard to believe though huh? The pretty appliqu at the front seems to lady like for the party queen. Strapless and boned at the bust this dress is perfect from going from day to night with, pair it with flats and a cardi for the day, then swap the flats for heels as soon as the clock ticks over to 6pm.
3. Ribbon Striped Dress, 30
Of course there's going to be a striped dress when we're talking about black and white, and this dress inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker rather cute. The contrasting stripes that go from thin to thick keeps you from looking like a walking zebra crossing and is a great mini dress for the season.
4. Placement Print Babydoll Dress, 25
This dress is much more tunic style than the other three, with its floral print and babydoll style sleeves. The black block panels gives the hem a sharp finish and like in the picture looks great paired with tan or brown coloured accessories.
