Ok, maybe I⿿ve been focusing too much on fashion and haven⿿t been paying attention to red carpet appearances, but I⿿m pretty sure that Naomi Watts should earn an award for being The First Star to Wear a Spring Runway Look.⿿The Aussie stepped out in Derek Lam⿿s Moroccan-inspired dress today in London at the Eastern Promises screening.

It⿿s this kind of style that shows off Watt⿿s A-list status. How so? Store buyers, magazine editors and fashion photographers galore are currently running around at breakneck speed to try and shoot the spring collections⿿especially wearable ones like Lam⿿s. It takes a savvy, fast-talking stylist to be able to finagle a few new frocks for their clients to wear. So why stall the all-important fashion industry from moving forward? To get the kind of ⿿She⿿s wearing what where⿿ stories that you like (and currently are) reading and I like writing. It⿿s a win-win situation for everyone, clearly. Now if we could only wear the dress ourselves some day the circle would be complete. Sigh.
