It looks like its going to be a shotgun wedding for R&B star Usher and his fiance/personal stylist Tameka Foster. The couple have confirmed that they are expecting a child together this winter.

Usher and Tameka issued a statement that read "We are extremely excited at this point in our lives, planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together. We hope people will be happy for us and respect our privacy during this happy period in our lives."

In an interview with Essence magazine released last week, Foster dodged questions about whether she was pregnant with Ushers child. She said, Yes, I do plan to have children with Usher. This is the man I love and plan to spend the rest of my life with, so why wouldn't I want to share that bond of bringing another life into this world with him?" When asked if she was pregnant with her exs child she was more upfront, stating, That is ridiculous. If that were the case, the baby would have been born already."

Last weekend at a party the couple attended in Miami, "Everyone was buzzing about the rumors," a partygoer told the New York Daily News. "But when people asked [Tameka], she'd just smile at them."

Ushers mother, Jonetta Patton is not likely to be pleased about the latest development in her sons life. Things between Foster and Patton have been tense since Foster made some hurtful comments about Patton during a radio interview. When asked if the baby might allow the two women to get over their differences, an insider told NYDN, "Not a chance." Ushers rep, however, claimed that rumors of any ill will on Jonettas part are untrue. "She's extremely happy for her son," said the spokesman.
