No question, Louis Vuitton's Speedy is the most copied handbag out there, so it's no wonder that it is also the bag most often co-opted by the tongue in cheek artisans who aim to poke fun at it's ubiquitousness.
Latest entry to the field, the Fake Bag 3-In-1 designed by Zinoo Park in conjunction with an exhibit in Seoul titled "
Wake Up Andy Warhol". I think the artist would have been proud.
The bag is so titled 3-in-1 because it can be carried 3 ways. Show off the front side with it's pop art colored Speedy emblazoned with the tag FAKE (and the words Truth and Irony on the side), and the cute little prize ribbon. Turn the bag over, and the same bag has a neatly printed "perfect" underneath it. Flip it inside out, and it's a solid color tote with an inside so bright people will want to take a peek.
Sadly, these are in limited quantity, and the aqua is already sold out. The pink, shown above, is still available, as are some of the larger size totes Emblazoned as Perfect Fake and fake.
All the totes are made from heavy duty canvas outside and waxed cotton inside. They are sure to get a thumbs up from the label lover as well as the anti-consumerist, and a big smile from everyone who sees it.
