"The Insider" has learned that Oscar-winning actor/director SYDNEY POLLACK ('Tootsie,' 'Out of Africa,' 'The Electric Horseman') has died from cancer at his Los Angeles home. He was 73.
A talented director who won an Oscar for 'Out of Africa,' the paternal, curly-haired Pollack was also recognizable for his many on-screen roles. He played DUSTIN HOFFMAN's agent in 'Tootsie' and appeared in 'Random Hearts,' 'Michael Clayton,' "Entourage," "Will & Grace" and, most recently, 'Made of Honor.'
