The remaining six contestants took to the ballroom floor for two dances Monday night.
The heat was on in the ballroom on Monday night's competition show. "Dancing with the Stars" was down to its Final Six, and each of the six couples still in the running had to perform two dances this week: one ballroom; one Latin.
MARISSA JARET WINOKUR and TONY DOVOLANI kicked off the ballroom portion of the competition with the tango. Head judge LEN GOODMAN said, "Just because tonight is two dances doesn't mean our expectations are less. For me, three words: Your best dance." Bruno agreed, saying, "You played this -- drama and passion. Great job." Carrie Ann admitted, "You have had a rough road, but something has come out in you. You represent what the competition is all about -- stretching yourself. That was a wonderful performance that showed a new side of you." Marissa and Tony were awarded 27 out of 30 points.
CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE and CHERYL BURKE's first dance was the Viennese waltz. Bruno complimented them, calling Cristian the "South American CLARK GABLE." He went on to say, "The interplay between you two was brilliant. You used the floor well. It was great to watch." Carrie Ann praised Cristian on the fluidity of his movement. She said, "What was lacking was a little bit of energy -- just a little bit of extra flair." Len told them he appreciated that it "had a bit of romance. What you did, you did well. It lacked content for me, but it was very nice to watch. I would have liked to see a little bit more of a traditional waltz." Their score totaled 25 points.
