The actress/author is lending her name to a good cause.
She may be riding high on the success of her new autobiography, Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time, but VALERIE BERTINELLI is nevertheless making time for a very worthy cause -- UNICEF's Tap Project.
Taking place during World Water Week (March 16-22), the initiative invites individuals to donate $1 for the tap water they normally get for free at participating restaurants. The money raised will be used to provide safe drinking water to children in Third World countries.
"Now that I seem to have a voice and people actually want to listen to me, I want to say some things that might get people to do good things in this world," Valerie tells "The Insider." "It is such an easy fix, too."
