Habari gani? Ujima!!!
Today is Ujima, the day we focus on collective work and responsibility. Today we focus on how we need to work together to maintain our community. We must make our brothers' and sisters' problems our own and help resolve them together.
Today is my family's karamu, meaning "feast." Today is the day we gather and eat, play games and just love on one another. We will light the candles, read the principles and discuss them, watch the children do their cultural expressions. We will just be a family. I love this day.
Happy Kwanzaa!
