The granny chic trend of the 1990s is back, if BCBG Max Azriaa??s New York fall ready-to-wear collection is any indication. A frankly unimpressive collection of wispy dresses crawled down the runway, seemingly arbitrarily paired with ski caps (very a??90s) or jackets. The color palette stayed firmly with neutrals, and though a handful of dresses were pretty, overall the collection seemed too similiar to watch you might find in a thrift store - or Stevie Nicksa?? closet. The show lacked a cohesiveness, with no real progression in the designs.
