
Rihanna claims that she wasnt
trying to lose weight - she was only trying to get healthy.
It wasnt so much losing weight as being fit and toned and healthy. I just didnt feel great, the singer, 19, told PEOPLE while rehearsing for her Sunday night performance at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles.
Now Im working out and trying to eat healthy. Thats making me lose weight without even thinking about it. Im not intentionally trying to get skinny.
Although Im not inclined to believe most celebrities when they are talking about weight, Rihannas statement makes sense. She wasnt really overweight to begin with, after all. (Although Im sure last years bikini photos helped her make up her mind to get healthy).
Rihanna is working out several times a week, eating lots of healthy veggies and protein, and is trying to stay away from carbohydrates. It shows - she looks absolutely amazing.
Shes also watching her diet, eating lots of carrots, lettuce, cucumbers and egg whites and snacking on fruit all day, and drinking plenty of water. I like carbs, she said, but at the end of the day, carbs are the enemy.
Sounds like a good, healthy plan to me. What do you all think?
