Blogging and the Internet has become more evolved than just a niche of a few computer geeks late night in their bedrooms writing about politics, electronics and Star Trek.
I myself am political junkie, Star Trek fan….but know far from even a little about electronics. I turn on my computer, point and click. It is simple, fun and a connection to an outside world so many enjoy.
Both my boys go to a school that is about 40 minutes away from home. Due to gas prices, time, environmental issues and the like, I have needed to stay close by. So, I, like about 10 other people currently in close proximity of me, have discovered the neighborhood coffee house.
Far from a Starbucks, this coffee house, has a couch full of local knitters, the table of retired, motorcycle riding Vietnam Vets talking politics all morning, the salesmen on their computers and bluetooths and college kids researching papers. I sit on my couch with my laptop on my lap, a constant cup full of Creme Brule coffee and my fingers pounding out my latest prose.
Blogging enriches the soul and the franchise-free coffee house is the best place to let my creative juices flow.
