I have just viewed the trailer of Richard Yates' 1961 novel about a young married couple and I feel it is going to be a powerful and extremely thought-provoking film. I can't wait to see it. The couple are desperate to break out of their middle class, suburban existence and experience life, but they are kept where they are.
Revolutionary Road, as we reported back in March last year, reunites Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time since Titanic. Kate's husband Sam Mendes directs the film and it is made by Dreamworks in association with the BBC. It will be released in December.
