With the demand and use of exotic skins going up, its no wonder that the price is tripling too - supply and demand, after all. Nancy Gonzalez' label, who indulges in copious uses of alligator skin, has their own alligator farm to stock and maintain large quantities of premium skins. This particular (Hermes-esque styled) large crocodile frame satchel features the small, tight, metallic scales of the little vicious Caiman crocodile, of which species some are happily the man-eating type. This bag's quite worldly too - likely more traveled than the average American, since it was constructed in the geographically megadiverse heart of Colombia. Prefer the gold brushed metallic skin or the deeply dyed black? Either will cost a heart-stopping US$3550. I must say, however, that I have some reservations when it comes to the slaughter of exotic animals for their skins, even if they're raised on farms - there's just something that eats at me when humans manipulate wild (rather than domesticated) animals for profit. It's not like we don't do enough damage to the environment.
