Beauty Buzz: Bond No. 9 Hits the BQE, Dolce & Gabbana Get Up and Glow, Shu Uemura Has It In the Bag

Bond No. 9 s out to bottle an entire borough with the latest addition to its New York collection. One sniff of the unisex scent aptly called Queens contains notes of bergamot, cardamom, blackberry, tuberose, champaca flower, osmanthus, sandalwood, benzoin resin, musk, and amber. Recent press about the World’s Fair gave founder  Laurice Rahmé the idea to create the fragrance. She also used Queen Catherine of Bragranza, which the borough is named after, as added inspiration for the unisex scent. [Women’s Wear Daily]

Dolce & Gabbana is expanding its beauty empire with a luxurious new skincare line that has hit the U.K. The range boasts ingredients like Sicilian olive oil, vitaminB3, and Gold Flava-Silk Tricomplexto to smooth, plump, and hydrate skin for a radiant finish. The brand tapped mega models like Kate King, Fei Fei Sun, Anais Mali, Ginta Lapina, and Andreea Diaconu for the ads snapped by Sølve Sundsbø. Shu Uemura is stepping up its style game with a partnership with Jonathan Cohen. The designer has customized a set of limited edition cosmetic cases for the bold, rebellious beauty buff. One of which contains travel sized bottles of Shu Uemura’s Full Shimmer Shampoo and conditioner as well as the Essence Absolue. Bulgari’s latest bling won’t weigh down you neck, wrist or finger. The brand has developed a new line of luxe fragrances called Le Gemme, each representing different semi precious stones. Drawing from the “natural association between colors and scents,” Ashlemah, the amethyst, has notes of lavender, iris, violet, and heliotrope while Lilaia, the peridot, is a fruit floral with notes of sensual tuberose and powdery rose are weaved in, just to name a couple.
