Last year, Carine Roitfeld’s amfAR runway was dripping in gold, this year the legendary editrix is painting the town red!

For the third year, she will oversee the Cinema Against AIDS gala taking place during the annual Cannes Film Festival in France on May 22nd. This year the theme of the amfAR benefit is Marilyn Monroe and forty designers like Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Burberry, Chanel, Christian Dior and Christopher Kane will create a one-off looks to be modeled by the likes of Karlie Kloss, Toni Garrn, Arizona Muse and Daria Strokous. John Travolta, Milla Jovovich, Harvey Weinstein and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will chair the event.

“She searched for love all of her life, and I think she would have been a big supporter of the foundation,” Roitfeld said of her decision to champion Monroe as the theme.

We can’t wait to see the designer looks come to life!
