It’s like a tennis match of back and forth, waiting to see which designer is going to show their Fall 2014 collection where when New York Fashion Week takes over New York City in February.
It’s already been confirmed that Jenny Packham, Vera Wang, Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg wouldn’t be showing in the tents. Today, despite reports that Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2014 collection would be shown at an off-site location, the designer will in fact show at her normal time slot at the tents, on February 10th at 10 a.m.
“The IMG Fashion team has heard my concerns and is committed to making Lincoln Center the right environment to show my new collection in February,” Herrera said.
Sounds like Lincoln Center didn’t want to lose another big name designer and worked overtime to accommodate Herrera’s needs. This is shaping up to be a very interesting NYFW, if we may say so ourselves.
