Cate Blanchett is covering the fashion bible for the fifth time, wearing Celine for January 2014. The Australian actress seems to be a trusty standby of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and covers the glossy every three to four years—previously in 2009, 2006, 2004, and 2000–it appears.
Vogue even brought in photographer Craig McDean who’s last Vogue cover starred Jennifer Aniston for December 2008.
The Oscar-winner is starring in both Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine and Monument Men with George Clooney, so she isn’t unlikely choice for the cover, just an interesting pick considering Wintour seems to be actively wooing Lena Dunham and the West family (or is it Kanye pushing for this?) for their presence to grace the front page of her book.
Cate’s cover hits newsstands on December 23rd. What do you think of the choice?
