Now with school back in full swing, it’s hard to imagine one of your classmates as a future A-List celebrity.  Two of them would be even more ridiculous, right?

Celebrities make up a small percentage of the entire population.  Apparently some schools just produce more stars than others. Ever get the feeling you went to the wrong high school?

When asked in a 2008 interview about hanging out with Nicky and Paris Hilton at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City, Lady Gaga (Class of 2004) admitted that she barely knew them—but they remained influential for her.  ”It’s impressive to be that perfect all the time, those girls. I was always a weird girl in school.”   Paris did not graduate. She later earned her GED and used her education to make a sex tape.

Though they may seem like an unlikely pair, Cameron Diaz and Snoop Lion both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. “We went to high school together,” Diaz told George Lopez in 2008. “He was a year older than me… I remember him, he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails.”  She may have once purchased weed from him.

Jennifer Aniston and Chaz Bono both attended New York’s High School of Performing Arts in the late 1980s. “Every day a group of us would go to Chaz’s house after school,” Aniston told Allure magazine. “I haven’t spoken to him in awhile.”

Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts both attended North Sydney Girls’ High School in Sydney, Australia. The Aussis have remained pals ever since. “Naomi Watts and I are very, very good friends and have maintained that through so many things,” Kidman told the Telegraph newspaper. “I think that’s really rare, particularly for actresses, and I take a lot of pride in that.”

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been best friends from a very young age, so it is unsurprising that they also attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School together. Today, their friendship is still going strong.  Just don’t ask Damon to play Robin.

Jada Pinkett-Smith has described her relationship with Tupac Shakur as a ‘platonic romance’.  The two became inseparable as teens after meeting at Baltimore School For The Arts and Jada became the inspiration for many of Pac’s love poems before he was gunned down in 1996.

Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond not only went to Erasmus Hall High School together, they sang in the choir together.   They collaborated decades later on the duet “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers (Anymore),” which became a No. 1 hit in 1978.

With their early success, some celebs dropped out of high school and were a little late in getting their diplomas.

Around the same time – Rob LoweCharlie SheenRobert Downey Jr. and Sean Penn attended Santa Monica High School.  Two of them graduated (Penn and Lowe) and two dropped out (Sheen and Downey).   ”Everybody in their childhood has that family where you know you’re going to be there on Christmas Eve,” Rob Lowe told Oprah.com. “And on any given weekend, you’re going to be maybe spending the night in the guest bedroom. That was the Sheens’ house for me growing up.”

Mark Wahlberg dropped out of school in ninth grade was motivated to finally graduate by his four children,  ”Most high school dropouts don’t end up with successful careers in Hollywood. I was lucky. Compared with high school graduates, dropouts are more likely to be unemployed, in poor health, living in poverty or on public assistance.”

Charlie Sheen was  a credit and a half shy for 30 years.  He didn’t finish because he was expelled a few weeks before graduation.  He was finally presented his diploma on Jay Leno by friend of 30 years, Tony Todd.

Did you go to school with anyone famous?
