As if we needed another reason to love Netflix, quick-witted comedian Chelsea Handler has announced that she has joined forces with streaming service for her next talk show gig. We’ve grown to love Handler’s honest and unapologetic humor on her show, Chelsea Lately. But after a seven-year run on the E! Network, Handler has made it very clear she is ready to start something new.

Hungry for new opportunities, Handler confessed in a statement, “If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested.” She explained that she sought out Netflix and upon confirming “they were as cool as [she] thought they were,” she expressed interest in collaborating.

Her new talk show for Netflix is set to premiere early 2016 but will kick off her deal with an hour-long stand up special slated for October. Handler’s 2015 is set with four docu-comedy specials covering NASCAR, politics, Silicon Valley, and the NBA draft, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Handler has shown great enthusiasm and praise for the company saying, “I’m more excited than I’ve been in awhile, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I’ve sat down with in ages.”

We can’t say we’re surprised. Netflix is one of our favorites too, Chelsea.
