After over a year with hardly a word, Christian Louboutin‘s newest employee finally nailed down a date to debut the brand’s first products!
Women’s Wear Daily shared the news of the burgeoning beauty brand’s new general manager, Catherine Roggero, and also noted that cosmetics connoisseurs can expect to get a look at what Mr. Louboutin has up his sleeve starting this summer. The brand took a wealth of time to build a strong team, thanks to Roggero’s 18 years of global experience; her most recent tenure was with L’Oréal’s Lancôme and Kiehl’s brand in the Asia Pacific region. “This new venture is a very important step for us and it took us a while to find someone as unique as Catherine who could understand both our brand DNA and our vision of beauty,” Alexis Mourot, Christian Louboutin’s group chief operating officer and general manager told the trade.
Roggero joins Tenten Wu, the luxury brand’s director of global communications, in the venture that will seek to bring historic beauty icons like Nefertiti to the new age with a pure seductive sensibility. Mark your calendars ladies … summer and the new line of luxe cosmetics will be here soon!
