After a year of anticipation, we finally have a first look at Christian Siriano’s first fragrance!

Called Silhouette, the scent is meant to flatter any woman. The bottle consists of a rose gold base and a transparent overlay cap and mimics the pleating and layering prominent in many of his designs. It’s even translated into the ad campaign, which features Coco Rocha in one of Siriano’s gowns with pleating in the bodice. “We’re about dressing all types of women, and I wanted the fragrance to feel the same way,” the designer told InStyle. “Even down to the name, Silhouette, we wanted it to feel like it could be for every woman—she can be any size, any age, any shape, and it’s all about celebrating the silhouette of a woman.”

Prices between $68 and $92 at Neiman Marcus exclusively, the fragrance channels Siriano’s signature sophistication with surprising combinations of notes like grapefruit and oakmoss. It also blends cassis, green apple, freesia, purple berries, with added green and woody elements to create a light and sweet scent. Siriano found the scent-swatching experience enlightening, as he saw how it was similar to crafting a collection that could appeal to ladies from all walks of life. ““It’s really similar to how I choose fabrics and build on top of things to create a texture. It was cool to see these similarities, and being in the lab was such a learning process,” he said. “Fragrance is an item that lasts a really long time, and I wanted it to be something that was signature to my brand and my world that could last 50 years.”

Siriano has big plans for the perfume’s debut on September 3 – just in time for New York Fashion Week. The designer will open a pop-up shop at 402 West 13th Street  which will feature a live plant wall of all of the fragrance’s notes, personal picks from previous collections, and even a film premiere of the scent first commercial! “I wanted to build a space where customers can come and understand what my world is about, and it’s going to be really interactive,” he said.  “There’s a lot going on!”
