Cinderella Styled Slippers By Stuart Weitzman

Maybe Disney dreams and princess fantasies can come true! If you’re playing Cinderella in the first-ever staging of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s production of the story on Broadway, they’re absolutely about to! Along with transforming into the iconic rags to riches character every little girl dreams of being, Tony nominee and the luckiest lady in the world, Laura Osnes, will also be stepping into a very special pair of glass slippers, thanks to Stuart Weitzman. The women’s footwear phenomenon has created a one of a kind heel for the stage musical, set to debut on March 3rd in New York City.

This isn’t the first time a shoe designer has looked to Cinderalla’s slippers as the vision of his or her next work. In honor of Walt Disney Studios’ release of Cinderella on Blu-ray Diamond Edition, Christian Louboutin designed a pair of fairytale heels as a gift to the lucky winner of the contest surrounding the celebration. This time, however, we can all get in on the Cinderella shoe action. While Weitzman’s recreated slippers for the stage may be off limits, his “Clearly Timeless” collection is available for consumers and features transparent footwear inspired by Cinderella’s famous footwear. At least us non-princesses can put them on and pretend we have a ball until midnight to attend to, right?
