Chiara Ferragni, the blogger behind the website, The Blonde Salad, teamed up with shoe giant Steve Madden for a limited-edition capsule collection of nine styles to debut Spring 2014. Ferragni is no stranger to shoe design; she has her own line in Italy where she serves as creative director but she was surprised to actually work with the man himself behind the multi-label shoe brand.
“I assumed I would meet with his [team], but it was him,” she told Women’s Wear Daily. “He’s passionate and knows a lot about Italy and my roots, so it works.” And she’s always been a fan of Steve Madden. “My first feminine shoes were Steve Maddens. I was going out in his heels when I was 17.”
Her Steve Madden kicks won’t be the only campaign The Blond Salad is fronting. Ferragni partnered with Guess for their All I Want is Everything digital campaign featuring pieces from the holiday collection like beautiful holiday dresses, a statement sequin jumpsuits, must-have leather pieces and sexy jumpsuits.
“[Chira’s] daring and effortless style sets trends worldwide and this campaign highlights exactly why [she] is the most followed blogger in the world,” a release from the brand said.
