If you’re like us, it’s frustrating when a mani chips after a few days. Who wouldn’t want long-lasting color on their nails? Celebs are loving gel nails as an alternative to the traditional manicure. Lauren Conrad blogged about long-lasting, chip-free color on her site, the Beauty Department. “These are a great option for ladies that don’t have a lot of spare time for nail upkeep or if you are going on a trip and don’t want to worry about your manicure.” Katy Perry, our queen of crazy-cool celeb manicures, is a fan too. She told Allure magazine: “I will never get a regular manicure again if I don’t have to because the gels are just an amazing invention. A regular one lasts two or three days; with the gels you can bang your hands against anything.” True Blood star Anna Paquin recently appeared in OPI’s new brush-on gel color ad wearing her favorite shade, Lincoln Park After Dark.
