The designer of all things flirty and feminine, Azzedine Alaïa, has just signed a license with Beauté Prestige International (BPI) to produce his first fragrance with a possibility of cosmetics in the future. BPI fell in love with Alaïa’s signature style, calling him a “a sculptor, a virtuoso of the cut; his dresses are a ‘second skin.’”
He’s in good company as the BPI also holds licenses with other innovative designers like Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Elie Saab, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Alaïa couldn’t wait to get started on scent that aligns with the spirit of his aesthetic. “I have total confidence in Beauté Prestige International to accompany me in creating a perfume that interprets my work and my world,” he told Women’s Wear Daily.
We’re already dreaming up a wish list of notes types he’ll incorporate into his first scent. Do you have any suggestions?
