Conair is out revolutionize the way we curl out tresses! The iconic hair care brand will roll out a new hair appliance that doesn’t bother with irons or clamps.

Curl Secret from Infiniti Pro by Conair will curl a lock of hair all the way to the ends using technology that draws hair into a heating chamber rather than a roller or iron, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

With the chance to minimize damage and split ends, Conair’s Vice President of Marketing Robin Linsley sees a bright future. “This is a category that doesn’t yet exist,” he said. “We believe this is the biggest innovation in hair since [the corporation] introduced the pistol-grip hair dryer in 1960.”

While this would make for a game-changer, the technology also sounds similar to a previous product called the Topstyler. We’ll just have to wait and see what the final product looks like before we can say for sure.

Update: The first image of the new hair tool was released this morning. Though we were worried it would have a similar silhouette to the Topstyler, it actually has the look and feel of the flatiron, save for the heating chamber. While Ulta shoppers will have to wait until mid-August to snap up this new staple, you can tune into HSN’s annual Beauty Report July 18th to beat the rush!
