The Deets: It’s been five years since one of the biggest names in music has performed a concert in New York City. Finally, Billy Joel is back home. With more than 150 million records sold, the “Piano Man” will serenade audiences at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for a New Year’s countdown like none other. He’ll be joined by Ben Folds Five in what Barclays CEO Brett Yormark forecasts as “a memorable evening” with “an iconic New Yorker.”

The Deets: Need we say Macklemore? The “Can’t Hold Us” emcee will make his way through all four lounges of this Meatpacking District destination on New Year’s Eve. Partygoers will be able to dance the night away Below the Dream or with panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline at its rooftop PH-D penthouse. Plus, there’s a four-hour premium open bar and live feed of the Times Square celebration, so you can watch the ball drop with the rest of NYC.

The Deets: Forget New Year’s Eve. At Fontainebleau’s LIV nightclub, it’s all about New Year’s Week. Starting December 27th, the swanky, star-studded establishment will welcome Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Jamie Foxx to kick off a massive celebration that will culminate in a live performance from Afrojack and Pharrell as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day. The Deets: Welcome to Dragan Roganović‘s world. The Serbian-Australian DJ, better known as Dirty South, will be on the 1′s and 2′s at this Collins Avenue attraction, where house, hip hop, Top 40, and mash ups meet. The Deets: Las Vegas takes London in this New Year’s spectacle where three rooms convene for one epic, Sin City-inspired night. Ray Foxx, Seb Fontaine, and Nick Bridges will have rotating shifts here on December 31st at what’s been heralded as London’s top club of 2013.
The Party: Last Night on Earth at O2 Academy Brixton | 9:00 p.m.
The Price: £39-£50 ($62-$82)
The Deets: What better way to celebrate the last night of the year than with Sasha? The EDM legend will headline his first London show in more than 10 years at the arena, with Guy Gerber, Ellen Allien, and Nic Fanciulli among 14 acts on the bill.
