Cozy Up To M. Patmos

All eyes are on Marcia Patmos this season, and Wednesday evening she jump-started Fashion Week with a presentation set up in a tented studio. The vibe was ultra zen as guests sipped on wine and perused the collection heavy on cozy knits in rich charcoal, eggplant and camel. Marcia Patmos designed for Lutz & Patmos, which closed last year, and then began her solo act, M. Patmos, garnering plenty of attention. “The inspiration for this collection began when I was beach-combing, searching for beautiful shells. I was thinking of the soft tones shades of the pebbles, rocks, shells and sand.” While the collection was inspired by the beach, some of the standout pieces were the heavy, luxe fur jackets. And does the designer and Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner have any free time these days? “When I do relax, I still like to create. I love cooking. You can often find me at the farmer’s market buying loads of vegetables.”
