Cynthia Rowley is no stranger to the surf, and she’s taking this summer as an opportunity to introduce J. Crew to the world of neoprene. The designer, who happens to spend a fair amount of time surfing herself, has put her own spin on the standard wetsuit. “Regarding wetsuits, I always liked the Marilyn Minter quote, ‘Everything’s better when wet,’” Rowley said. We’d have to agree, and we love Rowley’s take because, well, color-blocking (duh). The limited edition feminine, yet sporty, suits will launch at select J.Crew and Cynthia Rowley stores and online next Monday and retail for $210. Try as we might to put these wetsuits to good (active) use, we must admit that the surfb[ort] might just end up being more of an accessory to our beach-babe outfit than anything else.
