David Bowie and Tilda Swinton Play House in The Stars (Are Out Tonight)

By  February 26, 2013

David Bowie’s new album still has a few weeks before its release but he’s already dazzling us with the new video for his second single, “The Stars (Are Out Tonight).”

The music legend enlisted help from fashion plates Tilda Swinton, Andrej Pejíc, and Saskia de Brauw for the upbeat track. The clip features Swinton as his wife and the famous models as a pair of crazy celebrities who interrupt the suburban couple as they leave the grocery store.

Directed by Floria Sigismondi, best known for The Runaways as well as Marilyn Manson’s video for “The Beautiful People,” the music video/short film plays with the idea of gender, celebrity, and how it affects everyday people with a bit of help of David Fincher collaborator and cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth. If the imagery doesn’t force you to re-watch it over again, the bouncy beat is sure to do the job!
