Cloudy with a Chance of Music Mani

By  March 14, 2014

When it comes to nail art, sometimes less is more. Simple design combined with bold shapes is an easy way to make your fingertips stand out from the crowd. While you can’t control the weather at this season’s music festivals, you can certainly add a bit of sunshine to your nails while you dance the day away.

Items Needed:
Scalloped scissors
Masking tape
Revlon Top Speed “Spirit” Polish
China Glaze “Lemon Fizz” Polish
Binder hole protectors
American Apparel “American Denim” Polish
Topcoat

1.

Use scalloped scissors and masking tape to make cloud shapes. You can use regular scissors to do this too. Set cutouts aside.

2.

Paint clean nails with Revlon Top Speed “Spirit” and let dry.

3.

Add a patch of China Glaze “Lemon Fizz” yellow to one of your fingers.

4.

After the white and yellow nail polishes are completely dry, apply a binder hole protector over the yellow spot (this will be the outline of the sun).

5.

Stick on masking tape clouds and paint over them with a light blue polish.

6.

Quickly remove the binder hole protectors and masking tape. Finish with two coats of topcoat.
