#NYFW DKNY Fall 2011

DKNY is most definitely “Something New York.” For Fall 2011, Donna Karan was once again influenced and informed by the Big Apple. Inspired by “the modernists in New York City,” the show propelled DKNY forward with a fresh and exciting spirit. The classic urban palette of black, cream, navy, and shades of gray was injected with bursts of lipstick, tangella, henna, foundation, and blush. Sleek, linear silhouettes mimicked the city’s architecture, which made for an incredible array of color-blocked coats, wool twill blazers, and houndstooth jackets.  Prepare to show some leg as you pound the pavement in stacked heels, short skirts, shredded dresses and super-skinny pants. This season, the DKNY girl is ready to take on the city with style and confidence!
