Actress Drew Barrymore will bring her honesty and quirkiness to Refinery 29 for the next two years as the site’s first celebrity editor at large.

“Drew possesses so many genuine qualities that connect to us and our audience: She’s smart, funny, confident, stylish, a natural born entrepreneur with an artist’s spirt… The list goes on,” Refinery’s editor in chief Christene Barberich told Women’s Wear Daily.

The expectant mother’s duties include contributing one blog post a month with which she hopes to “provide readers with ‘succinct’ yet ‘meaningful’ info on subjects such as the ‘top 10 toddler books, she’s read while raising her 15-month-old daughter, Olive. Barrymore would also like to write some “fun op-ed pieces.”

Her first blog post is live now on the site, titled “The Drew Barrymore Breakfast Sandwich You’ll Want Every Morning,” discussing her trials and tribulations of learning to cook, and it gives a recipe to one of her favorites in the kitchen.

“When Refinery asked me to come on board, I thought, ‘How fun,’” the actress told WWD. “I respect their taste. I trust them. I like ‘where to’ and ‘how to lists’ best and just have fun with the lifestyle direction and they completely have that.”

We certainly like the way Barrymore’s flower has blossomed in to such a versatile career.
