Tuesday night saw the artistic debut of a slew of beauty editors thanks to Elizabeth Arden.
The iconic red-doored beauty brand hosted a painting workshop to celebrate revamp of its Beautiful Color Moistuirizng Lipstick and Precision Glide Lip Liner. The new formula for the makeup that include Shea Butter, Vitamins A, C, and E. The lipstick also contain Moisture Binding Spheres and Volulip to create a long-lasting moist and full lip look
Easels were set up in rows in the room, and after swatching a few shades and strapping on an apron, we began to trace two large lipstick tubes, pulled from a famous Wayne Thiebaud piece, onto a canvas. Piling and overlapping the pigments allowed the pieces to take shape and create dimension, which could also be applied to new additions to the Beautiful Color collection.
It was frustrating in the beginning for many as we never deemed ourselves artists, but one thing we knew how to do was layer. But once finished, everyone stood back to look at what they first believed was a mashup of colors and shapes that didn’t seem to fit to find something truly beautiful and something to be proud of.
