Elle Helps Young Designers Step Out At FASHION | NEXT

By  August 21, 2013

ELLE-FASHION_NEXTFor the fourth year in a row, Elle is showing the fashion industry just how today’s students are tomorrow’s esteemed designers. The fashion magazine is teaming up with School of the Art Institute of Chicago to produce the annual Fashion | Next event to show the fashion world what’s coming up next. With exclusive sponsor Maybelline New York, Fashion | Next will celebrate the unique talents of today’s emerging young designers on September 6th during New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. “The energy and creativity that comes out of these students is outstanding and inspiring and embodies all of the energy and passion of Maybelline New York,” said Carolyn Dawkins, Vice President, Marketing, Maybelline New York.

Twenty-three student designs from the graduating class of 2013 will comprise this year’s show, and their work will be featured in the October and December issues of the glossy and on Elle.com. The Elle Fashion | Next Design Award winner will be selected by a panel of judges that will include Kelly Osborne, Pamela Love, Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein, Joe Zee, Anne Slowey, and Carolyn Dawkins.

To see all of the creativity and inspiration sure to grace the Theatre’s runway, tune into Fashion Week festivities by visiting ELLE.com/fashionnext to watch a documentary-style websiode series that chronicles each semi-finalists’ journey from the classroom to the Center. We can’t wait to see their fashion debut – and here’s to hoping they’ll stick around for many more Fashion Weeks to come!
