Named Modern Muse, the scent is meant to capture the brand’s legacy of independence and confidence in oneself. The timeless scent plays with contrasts with two main notes of sparkling jasmine for feminine flair and sleek woods for strength, playing off the “dynamic tensions in a woman’s life,” Estée Lauder’ senior vice president of corporate fragrance development Karyn Khoury told Women’s Wear Daily.
Combined with exotic mandarin, tuberose, fresh lily, honeysuckle nectar, dewy petals, jasmine sambac, jasmine sambac China absolute, and patchouli, Madagascar vanilla, amber wood, and soft musk – all creates a layered scent that will last from desk to drinks.
Aptly adding to the name’s flair is Arizona Muse who’s the face of the new perfume. Shot in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum by Craig McDean, the campaign taps Greek mythology with the story of the nine muses who inspired beauty and art in the form of 9 bows featured on Muse’s dress and the bottle itself.
