As fashion week approaches, we’re gearing up and getting excited to indulge in the fashion, the festivities, and the frenzy for which this week is known for. But this season, we can look forward to indulging in a few things that are actually edible. For the first time, Food & Wine and American Express have partnered up for the American Express Skybox. Guests to the exclusive space will get a sneak peek and taste of dishes from the forthcoming Food & Wine Best New Chefs All-Star Cookbook. The tome will be available October 1st, but fashion week attendees can get a look at recipes from 25 superstar chefs including Thomas Keller, Tom Colicchio, and David Chang.
At the Skybox, expect to fill up on yummy dishes like Eric Ripert’s Striped Bass with Mango & Pickled Ginger Salad and Graham Elliot’s Pork Tenderloin with Fried Okra & Pickled Watermelon. Indulge in all of this in addition to appearances by Food & Wine editor in chief Dana Cowin, Top Chef judge and the glossy’s Gail Simmons, Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing, and CFDA CEO Steven Kolb.
With all of the impending mayhem, the AmEx Skybox is one location we’re not skipping out on. And since we’re planning on being on-the-go and on-call 24/7, spending some time with these foodies and their delectable delights will be a necessary component of our crazy schedules – and growling stomachs – come next week.
