With every Fashion Week comes changes and alterations, as some designers choose to sit out the season while others make the jump across ponds depending on their audience. This year, for the Spring 2014 shows, there are more than a few switcheroos and updates to be aware of before the runway shows begin!
- Though Sass & Bide made their mark in England originally and are regulars on the London Fashion Week circuit, designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton have decided to bring the collection stateside this season! They will show at The Classic Car Club in Manhattan on Tuesday the 10th.
- Aussie brand Zimmermann is expanding their well-suited empire to the New York Fashion Week scene as well, coordinating its very first show during the week at the official location, Lincoln Center! Simone and Nicky Zimmermann will debut their newest creations on September 6th to editors and fashion insiders at the Studio, in a show titled, The Ringmaster.
- Jenna Lyons’ former right hand woman, Marissa Webb, made her Fashion Week debut during the Fall 2013 season with a presentation, however with spring’s arrival comes a full runway show for the J.Crew alum. Webb will debut her newest inspiration in Lincoln Center at the Studio on September 5th.
- On the jewelry side of the industry, Dana Lorenz has decided to eschew the typical format for showcasing accessories, instead opting for a full runway show. Fallon’s showcase on September 11th marks the first time an accessories designer will show their creations on the runway at Fashion Week!
