If there were any doubts that Pinterest earned fashion’s approval—you know besides all the FOMO the social site gives our wardrobes—this news makes it official. Pinterest is where all the cool kids hang out.
Come New York Fashion Week, Pinterest will promote a dedicated Fashion Week channel, holding all the behind-the-scenes images, mood boards and other fashion-related visuals from our favorite industry insiders. Pinterest partnered with Michael Kors, the Style Network, Kate Spade, Lucky Magazine, Elle, Garance Doré, Huffington Post Style, Into the Gloss, Man Repeller, Nordstrom, Oscar de la Renta, 3.1 Phillip Lim, PopSugar, Refinery29, Style.com and Song of Style among others to give the world an insider’s view of NYFW, live now on the site. Coverage will continue through London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week with new contributors being added along the way.
“We know we have millions of pinners that look to Pinterest for fashion inspiration and we know hundreds of brands, designers and insiders use it for the same purpose, and we wanted to help connect those two a little more,” Pinterest head of community marketing Katie Garlinghouse told Women’s Wear Daily. “It’s giving a highly engaging experience to our pinners who are excited about fashion.”
