PostImgUmaEvery day, we bring you celebrity sightings and stylings as seen everywhere from the streets to the red carpet. Whether they’re dolled up or dressed down, we can’t resist the need to know who wore what.

Uma Thurman piled on the gems for the latest Venice Film Festival fete. The blonde beauty pulled her hair up and went easy on the makeup to showcase her beautiful necklace, which, in turn, complemented her gorgeous gown. She joined a slew of stars on the red carpet at the Chopard and Vanity Fair Present “Backstage at Cinecitta,” but this look certainly stood out.

Style Scoop: Barbie Lagerfelds Are Limited, Poppy Delevingne’s Piperlime Picks, Carolina Herrera Thinks New Yorkers Have “Horrendous” Style

By  September 02, 2014

StyleScoopSept2It turns out it won’t be as easy as stepping into a toy store to get your hands on a Barbie Lagerfeld. Karl Lagerfeld and Mattell Inc. are only producing 999 dolls, which are part of the collector series and priced at around $200. They go on sale in the middle of Paris Fashion Week at select Karl Lagerfeld boutiques, Colette in Paris, thebarbiecollection.com and Net-a-porter.com. [Women’s Wear Daily]

Poppy Delevingne lends her covetable style to online boutique, Piperlime. As part of the “25 Days of Influencers” program, Delevingne’s style Q&A and fall Piperlime picks launch today on the site. This season, the influencer is out for fur, plaid, basic bottoms and bomber jackets. Check out the It Brit’s chic mix of brands on Piperlime.com. [Glam Inbox]

Carolina Herrera believes that New Yorkers have “horrendous” style. That’s right, just as New York Fashion Week kicks off, Herrera tells us all how she really feels. She says, “I have never seen people so badly dressed in my life! It’s amazing the way they look! I don’t know why…I don’t know what’s going on…but it’s really, really bad.” So, while you’re planning your Fashion Week outfits, you might want to think twice about putting on that crop top. Gisele Bündchen is at it again—and this time, she’s kicking butt with Under Armour. The model appears in the athletic wear company’s latest video campaign, following up ballerina Misty Copeland’s most recent appearance as the face. As it turns out, Tom Brady isn’t the only star athlete in the family—nor the only one who has served as the face of Under Armour. Bündchen’s campaign is slated to launch September 4th, but you can watch the teaser here. [Fashionista]

Yves Carcelle, the French executive who’s credited with transforming Louis Vuitton into what it is today, lost his battle with cancer and died Sunday at the age of 66. Carcelle is known for recruiting a young Marc Jacobs as Vuitton’s artistic director in 1997, which launched the house into the modern fashion age. Carcelle is survived by his ex-wife, Rebecca, and their two sons, plus three children from a previous marriage—as well as quite the legacy. [Women’s Wear Daily]

9 Emerging Designers To Watch At NYFW

By  September 02, 2014

9DesignersPostWe always have a list in mind of the shows we can’t wait to see each season, and many of them are household names at this point. There are the seasoned classics, there are the soon-to-be-greats, there are the ones that push the envelope and there are the designers who make clothes for real people. But one of the best parts about fashion week is that it offers the opportunity to discover new talent. After all, all of the greats started somewhere. At the Spring 2015 shows, we very well might be seeing classics in the making. Only time will tell, but here are the designers we’ve got our eye on this season.

Angelina Jolie's Wedding Dress Revealed!

By  September 01, 2014

After tying the knot on August 23 in a super-secret ceremony at Chateau Miraval in Correns, France, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are sharing details from their big day in the pages of People and Hello!

Jolie said ‘I do’ in a custom-made Atelier Versace gown and veil by Luigi Massi that featured dozens embroidered designs from her children’s drawings. ”Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” Jolie told People. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”

For the ceremony, Pitt pulled a suit from his closet with a tie borrowed from one his son (he forgot to pack his). As for the rest of the Jolie-Pitt crew, Zahara wore a dress designed by family friend Adam Kebe while little Vivienne wore a white dress from her closet. Maddox, Pax, and Knox all wore black suits, but Shiloh spiced hers up in a pair of shorts and top hat. The couple exchanged weddings bands from jeweler Robert Procop, who designed Jolie’s engagement ring. ”It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt said. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”

Style Scoop: Miley Cyrus Poses for V, Rebecca Minkoff Does Wearable Tech, Abercrombie & Fitch Ditches Its Logo

By  August 29, 2014

StyleScoopAug29Miley Cyrus poses on top of a bed of stuffed animals for the 91st issue of V Magazine. Dubbed “The Rebel Issue,” the starlet poses for Karl Lagerfeld in a custom Fendi bodysuit modeled after the fuzzy friends on which she sits. It’s just about the least wearable bathing suit ever but, hey, she looks pretty good in it. [Fashion Gone Rogue]

Rebecca Minkoff is the latest designer to dive into the wearable tech trend. Created in partnership with Case-Mate, the five-item collection includes a bracelet, a compact mobile charger, iPhone cases and a wristlet that come in various colors. The pieces retail for $40-$80 and will go on sale at rebeccaminkoff.com and in Nordstrom in September—after they debut at the designer’s New York Fashion Week runway show, of course. [Women’s Wear Daily]

We hope you’ve saved some of your old Abercrombie & Fitch sweatshirts and t-shirts, because soon, the retailer’s logo will be no more—and you’ll have straight-up vintage moose garb on your hands (eBay anyone). The retailer is following suit with other brands and moving away from the logo business, primarily because its customers are less interested in them. It seems we’ve officially exited the early 2000’s. [Women’s Wear Daily]

Kendall Jenner is no longer a Jenner. She’s just…”Kendall.” K. [Glam Chic]

She already starred in a cooler-than-cool ad campaign for Rag & Bone, and now Winona Ryder appears in the brand’s video component of the Fall ’14 campaign. She takes her booties to the boardwalk, where she plays arcade games upon arcade games (damn that claw!), and looks pretty much how we look when we get tangled up in ticket winnings—minus the awesome clothes and super-glam smile. Venice is buzzing with celebrities as the city’s film festival gets underway. And, of course, since we’re focusing our eyes on Italy, you’d better bet that we’re keeping them peeled for incredible fashion. Emma Stone kicked off an impressive bout of red carpet walks, and models Alessandra Ambrosio and Constance Jablonski continued it. Then, Miuccia Prada’s girls were on hand for Miu Miu’s short film’s premiere, and all dressed head-to-toe in playful Miu Miu garb. Which look do you love?

Labor Day Dressing: Celebrities who Do White, Right

By  August 29, 2014

0_Celebs in White Slide

If you’re one to follow the rules, you’ve got just a few more days to wear your summer whites. Once Labor Day ends, conservative dressers swear off all-blanched-everything and kick the achromatic hue to the curb until warmer weather commences. Of course, said rule was meant to be—and has been—broken, time and time again. Still, there’s nothing wrong with a little inspiration to get you in the spirit. Channel Jessica AlbaBeyoncé, and even baby North West and get your all-white look, right.

It’s Just…Kendall

By  August 29, 2014

KendallJennerNameKendall Jenner is now the artist formerly known as Kendall Jenner. According to the official site of her modeling agency, The Society, the budding model dropped her famous last name and will  just be known as Kendall. As she told Love magazine in July, she thinks her family’s name is working against her where her career is concerned. “People think that this [success] just came to me,” she said. “But it didn’t. What I have almost worked against me…I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it’s great when people didn’t recognize me.”

They might not know who she is in a casting, but you can bet that we’ll recognize her coming down any runway. As long as she’s got that K in the beginning of her name, we can’t say we’ll be willing to separate her completely from her roots. K?
