At the opening of Bridgehampton Polo last week, Marco Mattiacci, CEO of Ferrari of North America, Bridgehampton Polo Club co-founder Peter Brant, and new partner Nacho Figueras hosted the Ferrari Experience. Ferarri’s FF – the company’s first four-seater, four wheel drive sports cars as well as the Americano and Spider models lined the field amongst the white umbrellas and Adirondack chairs. While the pitch was too wet to hold the season’s first official match, Brant and Figueras mounted their horses to join polo players on the field for a period of play, known as a chukker.
Fern Mallis, Michael Michele, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Rita Schrager, Alina Cho, Gillian Miniter, Kelly Klein, Michelle Harper, and Jamee and Peter Gregory mixed and mingled in the Ferarri private tent, enjoying the exhibition, indulging in hors d’oeuvres from Tutto Il Giorno, and sipping Grey Goose punch cocktails. The W’s Stefano Tonchi, Adelina Wong Ettelson, Richie and Jane Notar, and Helen and Tim Schrifter brought along their little ones who were treated to People’s Pops popsicles after slathering on some Clinique sunscreen that were available in baskets throughout the area to safely enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
