Forget the Flowers: Valentine’s Day is All About Heart Shaped Sushi & Whiskey-Grams!

By  February 06, 2013

Whether you’re single or attached this Valentine’s Day, New York restaurants are doing their best to accomodate both those are in love and those who are searching for love. Prix fixe menus and anti V-Day parties have become the norm, so in order to stand out, two distint venues in Manhattan are putting their own spin on the hearts and flowers filled holiday.

For those who are anticipating an evening of staring into their lover’s eyes, Koi Soho is more than willing to comply, with a special set of sushi designs for the night. The Japanese staple is offering a variety of creations on a special love inspired menu including Heart Shape Sushi Rolls, Toro Napoleon, Ocean Jewelry, Mint and Chocolate Mousse Cake, and Koi’s Sparkling Sake Moon Blossom Cocktail. Almost too precious to eat, right?

As for those who are still on the hunt for their perfect partner, Fatty Crab is stealing Cupid’s thunder. Upon arrival, each diner (over the age of 21) will receive their very own Whiskey-Gram, complimentary mini bottles of whiskey and pickle juice. From there, they’ll have the opportunity to select another random diner in the restaurant as their “sweetheart,” asking a server to deliver their Valentine, while hoping for the best.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
