Who are some of your favorite designers and why?
My favorite designers include Jean Muir, Vionnet, YSL, Comme des Garçons, and Junya Watanabe. They are visionaries, and their creative sensibility reflects my own.
What do you do when you want to feel glamorous and/or when you want to pamper yourself?
I throw myself a party and surround myself with people I love and who love me. Pampering oneself is giving love to others and receiving it in return.
Who is your favorite model to work with and why?
The mannequin in our fitting room … she is immune to pins!
Which celebrity would you like to dress and why?
Cate Blanchett is a dream. She is elegant as well as a timeless beauty.
Where is your favorite place to vacation and why?
St. Barts because it has the best of everything—people, food, shopping, etc.
At what moment did you realize you’d finally made a name for yourself?
When I see other people wearing my
clothes. But honestly, I don't think you ever "make it." Life is about always challenging yourself, learning and growing from your experiences.

No one person can be summed up as a style icon for me. Fashion is ever-evolving. Many men and women from eras past can evoke inspiration for a current season's theme.
